We are back to allowing carts on the course! Please note that the course is still very soggy, especially in lower areas. Although we are allowing carts, we ask you to please be very careful and heed instructions on carts provided by our staff.

While carts are back, the driving will remain closed for at least another 24 hours.

We appreciate your patience as Mother Nature has given us her all this summer.

MGC-Freeport will be closed for the remainder of the day. Mother Nature strikes again!

With heavy rain yet again yesterday, MGC-Freeport will not be allowing carts on the course. Additionally, the driving range will be closed for the time being. Please check back for updates or call the golf shop!

Yet again, heavy rains from yesterday will require us to keep the course closed this morning. With just shy of 3.5′ of rain yesterday, MGC-Freeport will open at noon today. The range will remain closed and carts will not be available.

Due to an extremely heavy pop up shower, MGC-Freeport will be closed for the remainder of the day, 8/5. With this shower, the course received close to 2 inches and has left us with significant standing water on the course. We will be back to normal operations tomorrow.

From 1 PM to 5 PM today, Maine Golf Center – Freeport will be hosting Junior Golf Day. This is a FREE event, featuring Dennis Walters, trick shot artist, free golf for juniors and a drive, chip and putt type fun competition. Swing by with the kids and grab an ice cream!

During this event, Holes 1 and 2 will be closed. Holes 3 through 9 are open for play. Please note we will be operating on a first-come, first-serve basis. Juniors will take precedent for teeing off.

MGC – Freeport will be closed this morning due to yesterday’s heavy rains. The course will open for walking only at 12:00 PM. The range will remained closed for the time being.

Finally! Although wet in some areas, we are now allowing carts out on the course. The range is also back open.

MGC-Freeport will open at 11 am on Monday, July 3. With heavy rain yesterday and overnight, the course needs a little time to dry enough for play.

Due to heavy rain and an oversaturated course, MGC-Freeport will be closed for the day on 6/28.
