MGC-Freeport will be closed again today and remain closed until a conclusion in the manhunt.

Given the current events taking place, Maine Golf Center – Freeport will be closed today. Our thoughts and prayers are with all involved. Please stay safe and stay strong.

Heavy rains overnight have left significant standing water course wide. Unfortunately we are going to keep the course closed for the day to dry out for what looks like a beautiful week ahead.

We ask that you please stay off the course while we are closed.

MGC-Freeport will be closing at 3 PM today, October 6th. Unfortunately we have been hit with an unforeseen staffing shortage today, combined with the arrival of my first child.

Sorry for any inconvenience! Life happens!

-A.J. and the MGC-Freeport Team

Yesterday’s rain left us with just under 3.5″, and as you can imagine the course is quite saturated. We will open at noon today for walking only.

Unfortunately, the weather we’ve had all summer has come to a head. With the amount of rain we’ve had this season, the range is simply too saturated to maintain. As a result we are forced to close the range for the remainder of the season. We are sorry for any frustration, disappointment and/or inconvenience. We feel the same way! Trust us!

Range pass holders, please be on the lookout for an email regarding the closure of the range and our plan to make up for it.

With .5″ overnight, carts will not be available today. Call or check back for updates.

MGC will be closed this morning due to the weather. Our plan is to open around 2:30 (weather/course conditions permitting), once the rain wraps up. It looks like sun will poke out later this afternoon!

Please check back for updates!

Mother Nature strikes again! Another deluge of rain yesterday and overnight has further saturated MGC-Freeport. As a result we will be holding play off of the course for the morning in hopes things can dry as much as possible. MGC-Freeport will open at 12 PM for WALKING ONLY today.

We are back to allowing carts on the course! Please note that the course is still very soggy, especially in lower areas. Although we are allowing carts, we ask you to please be very careful and heed instructions on carts provided by our staff.

While carts are back, the driving will remain closed for at least another 24 hours.

We appreciate your patience as Mother Nature has given us her all this summer.
